TYPE-2 OFFSHORE SURVIVAL KIT

For use by Offshore Oil & Gas Professionals while traveling or offshore. Can be stowed in bunk and / or located in hazardous areas for use with life rafts in Major Hazard Event where access to the TR is unavailable.

RSS Personal Survival Kit for OFFSHORE USE is designed to be used by personnel working in the offshore oil & gas industry so that in the event of a fire the user will be able to function in toxic smoke filled environment to facilitate successful egress and evacuation.

Caught in a smoke filled hazard event the user will have a far greater chance of egressing to a place for safety with the 60 min breathing air smoke hood. To assist in safe egress a battery free torch is included to illuminate an egress route in a smoke filled environment together with a pair of Nomex/Kevlar gloves to negotiate safely hot spots.

The RSS Personal Survival Kit for OFFSHORE Personnel is designed by industry Risk and Safety Professionals for that scenario, as an oil & gas professional you hope you never face.

Qty 1. HIGH VISIBILITY WATER RESISTANT CARRY CASE

This kit is provided with a ‘ hazard red’ water resistant, carry case with clear vinyl front and shoulder straps for ease of transportation. All can be branded with the customers logo.

The Hazard Survival Kit for Offshore Oil & Gas Personnel is provided with a carry case big enough for the individual to add a few personal items after the survival kit items are removed from their individual packaging. Note: With the exception of the smoke hood, which must be retained in it's packaging until use, the kit contents should be removed from packaging on purchase and not left until the emergency event.

The Lite-Ex PL 30 LED high performance flashlight is especially designed to withstand daily use in industrial environments and with the new Ring Switch mechanism operation is quick and easy. Certified for use in EX-hazardous zones 0 and 20 according to Directive 1999/92/EC (ATEX 137).

The ecom Lite-Ex PL 30 LED torch gives unrivalled high performance. The 3-watt LED unit is powered by 3 x C - batteries, providing many hours of use. With a high IP65 protection rating, the anti-static polymer housing of the unit is ergonomically designed to be comfortably and securely held - even in the most difficult conditions. Switching on the torch could not be easier - simply twist the 'ring-switch'. This innovative switch mechanism means that even when wearing gloves the user can easily operate the torch and because it is a 'non-contact' mechanism the need for repair is reduced - saving time and money.

Tested, approved and certified in accordance with the demands of the European Standard EN 403: 1993-S. In order to obtain the EN 403 the mask has to provide protection for at least 15 minutes against all gases foreseen in the EN 403 norm.

Qty 1. FIRE SAFE GLOVES - NOMEX/KEVLAR

These Nomex flight gloves are gauntlet style and used by all military Pilots. The Nomex flight gloves are a 9 ounce flame retardant Nomex fiber on the back panels with a soft leather on the palms and finger areas. The Nomex fiber makes them highly heat and fire resistant to 700 degrees. The Nomex gloves have reinforced stitching and are constructed to U.S. Mil Spec. G-81188B. The Nomex gloves are form fitting therefore dexterity and feel are not affected.

Included in your RSS survival kit is a set of product flash cards. These cards are laminated for use in wet or other adverse conditions and provide the user with a description of the safety item. Additionally each card describes the best means of use for each item to best assist the user in a survival situation. These cards have been developed by our Risk Analysis experts to provide the user with the best possible chance of survival!
